We’re looking for work that scorches and burns.

The Fall 2025 issue of TrashLight Press is slated to be a literary riot, a full-throated scream into the crumbling foundation of empire, control, and decay. This is our protest issue, our reckoning with a dying star.

We are looking for:

• Essays that dissect the horrors of a dying democracy
• Fiction that lights match after match to illuminate a crumbling world
• Poetry that screams through protest, anarchy, and righteous rage
• Art from the front lines, literally or emotionally, of American rebellion
• Hybrid Work that refuses to behave and fall in line

We aren’t looking for polite critiques or metaphorical murmurings. We want raw, political, feral work that makes readers flinch. Show us the fire you’ve had burning within you. This is for the artists and writers staring down the architects of cruelty in the halls of power. For those choking on the smoke of a democracy set ablaze by the hands sworn to protect it.

TrashLight Press is open for rolling submissions.

We publish raw, feral, genre-bending work twice a week on our website. We also release seasonal issues with themed calls for submissions (keep reading to see what’s on the horizon).

We’re looking for

• Fiction
• Nonfiction
• Poetry
• Art
• Hybrid & Uncategorized chaos

We accept simultaneous submissions, don’t charge fees, and don’t publish AI-generated work. However, we are willing to consider previously published work if proper credit is provided. All rights revert back to the author after publication; we ask for first serial rights and archival rights. We don’t care how many times it’s been rejected—if it haunts you, we want to see it.
