Panfried Apples

Photo by sohail shaikh on Unsplash
you slice a bruised apple
desiccated skin tossed

frying pain: cheap canola
I bought the day you

kissed his lips- tender
that’s the art of pan frying

let the juices simmer
mingle, dash of spice

I serve yours: whipped cream
coating my words but I refuse

to swallow
what you’ve made
